Essential cleaning guide for elevator faceplates and components
CLEANING DMG FACEPLATES
AND COMPONENTS
Cleaning operating panels in elevators requires careful attention.
We strongly suggest you to adopt the following method for cleaning.
Remember that regular maintenance will reduce the need for deeper cleaning.
MATERIALS NEEDED
→ Microfiber cloth to use wet
→ Microfiber cloth to use dry
→ Lukewarm water
→ Lint-free cloth
→ Gloves (to prevent fingerprints and oil transfer)
→ Microfiber cloth to use wet
→ Microfiber cloth to use dry
→ Lukewarm water
→ Lint-free cloth
→ Gloves (to prevent fingerprints and oil transfer)
BEFORE STARTING
→ For safety reasons and to prevent accidental button activation, turn off the elevator panel's power supply. If unsure, consult with the building maintenance team.
→ Wear gloves to avoid transferring oils from your hands

PROCESS
→ Dust off the faceplate and components with a dry microfiber cloth
→ Dip a microfiber cloth into lukewarm water and wring it out so it’s damp, not dripping
→ Wipe down the faceplate and components with a vertical motion, avoid scrubbing too hard.
→ Immediately dry the surface with a lint-free cloth
→ Inspect the faceplate for any missed spots and wipe fingerprints with a dry microfiber cloth
→ Restore power to the elevator panel if it was turned off.
